Honestly the WORST post office I have dealt with in my ENTIRE life. They have the most uneducated, rudest and unhelpful staff and have misplaced and lost more than a few important articles of mail and packages of mine in the short amount of time I have had the unfortunate luck to have them as my mail carrier. It is really quite sad.
This is the worst post office I've ever had the misfortune of having to utilize. The mail deliver folks are rude, uncaring, and inefficient. Several times now I've had packages they immediately marked 'attempted delivery' right off the bat but didn't actually attempt to deliver (I tracked the status and it changed to 'attempted delivery' fully four hours before the postman arrived at my actual post box). They also don't seem to think answering the phone is important, since I've called on several occasions to nothing but a ringing phone that was never answered. If you have any option or choice, try and find somewhere else to have your post sent. Oh and don't bother going in either- they're open from 8am-3pm (so you probably won't be able to if you work anyways), and while open only retain one staff member on site so, very frequently, you'll find yourself waiting upwards of half an hour to 45 minutes just to buy stamps.
Mail is almost always misdelivered. The people delivering it are always rude. Packages are mis-mailed and you're forced to track them down because they can't do their job.
I ship items out regularly, and they leave here and reach Austin the same day. Before the morning the item is on a truck leaving Austin, TX. I have seen items leave Florida and it takes them 4 days to get out of the state. The only other state that is as fast is California. I do print out my own bar coded shipping labels and have a postal carrier pick up, I rarely have to visit the Post Office. I am very pleased with the service USPS provides for shipping from your home.
I do not like the horseshoe Bay post office it closes too early and is very slow when It comes to delivering packages. I purchased something 4 days ago with 2 day shipping and it still hasn't arrived maybe if the post office was open today I would have my package, and certain items cannot be shipped to my p.o box items such as batteries and liquids like cloughne and ordering items it so complicated sometimes when I order certain items it tells me your post office cannot recieve this item. Personally I think it's time for an upgrade. Younger more energetic employees and more mail men
